We think this is a nice guide with individual instructions for all the different classes during the different phases. Besides this, abilities and group composition is explained properly as well. If Hydross is giving you trouble, this guide is worth a read.
This is a guide that explains Hydross the Unstable's abilities in detail of both the poison and nature phases. The rest of the strategy is not as detailed but still sufficient. There are a couple of good
tips for tanks here and some useful suggested consumables. Unfortunately, no diagram to support this otherwise adequate guide.
This movie delivers crystal clear picture quality through the eyes of a warlock that is a treat to watch. We get an excellent wide view of the positioning and Hydross all in one video. His abilities like
Water Tomb and the nature and poision phases are clearly visible. As if that's not enough, the film provides a fair idea of how to deal with the elementals. Also, the interface includes raid health bars that
are informative, we highly suggest you check this movie out.
This is a good quality video of a well positioned guild from the perspective of a mage. It is quite useful for mages due to the floating combat text that is visible if you are prepared to strain your eyes a little. Unfortunately, it is impossible to learn anything from the chat and combat logs, but the health bars of the entire group are visible which make it possible to understand how Hydross the Unstable's abilities affect the raid. Also, we get a full demonstration of Hydross' spells like Water Tomb and Summon Elementals. As if all this is not enough, they have included player talk which is useful for picking up tips.
We are fans of well edited high picture quality movies, and this one fits the bill perfectly. It is from a tank's POV and we get a nice view of the fight that focuses on Hydross and the elementals in both
the phases. The camera angles shift often enough to provide us with various angles of the encounter making aspects like the placement of players clear. It is a movie good for all classes, and it showcases
Hydross' abilities well.
This is a high quality video that has been recorded through a hunter's perspective. We think this should be used to understand the positioning of players as the guild has clearly mastered the encounter.
Besides this, we can see what Hydross is capable of like Water Tomb and how to deal with his elementals. In our opinion, it is a movie particularly good for the ranged DPS classes. Also, the clear combat
text makes it even more useful for hunters.
This is a high quality movie from a mage's point of view. It gives a clear view of the positioning, which makes it a valuable movie. It shows the adds being dealt with, and how the mage reacts when Water
Tombed. This film is particularly useful for mages as the combat text makes it possible to know what counter abilities they should use and when. However it is not limited to just this one class, as both the
phases of the encounter are shown well and there's something for every class as far as placement is concerned.
You can watch this good quality video through the eyes of a shaman. We get a nice overview of the fight here which not only shows the placement of players, but also useful footage of Hydross himself. Another
point in the movie's favour is that we can clearly see the players deal with water and poison elementals. Besides this, Hydross' Water Tomb ability is abundantly clear. In our opinion a nice movie to get an
overall idea of the encounter.
This is a good quality video that attempts to show us how to take down Hydross the Unstable, and succeeds. We think they have the positioning of the different classes right, and you can a lot learn from this
no doubt. Also, due to the excellent camera angles we can view Hydross' different abilities. Amongst these, Water Tomb is prominent, and we can also watch him summon the water and poison elementals in the
different phases. We suggest you read a guide, then use this video for demonstration of the strategy.
The quality of this movie is superb, and the camera angles are great giving us a nice insight into the encounter. It is easy to understand the players' positioning here, and Hydross' movements as well. His
Water Tomb ability and Nature and Poison phases can be seen here well. Also we are provided with footage on how to deal with the elementals. Everything being crystal clear and nicely presentated, it is a
video fit for all classes, so do give it a shot.
This is a high picture quality movie from the perspective of a rogue. This means that we get a nice idea of what is happening at Hydross' feet, as well as the action that takes place up close to the
elementals. We can see the rogue being hit with Water Tomb, and the damage it deals. If you are looking to understand players' positioning, you will have to be content with how the melee and tanking classes
move and operate, and only brief glimpses of the rest.
Watch this highly stylised movie of fantastic picture quality through the eyes of a warlock. It is mainly a film to be viewed for getting a clear understanding of the players' positioning as that's what it
concentrates on for the most part rather than footage of Hydross himself. A close second reason to take a look at this clip is to learn the tactics of how to deal with the elementals. For shots of Hydross'
movements, this one isn't the best choice.
With low picture quality, this Hydross movie isn't up to much in terms of information either. We follow a frantic DPS warrior around the fight, and catch glimpses of the adds and Hydross, but the steep overhead view and narrow screen mean we don't see much of the broader fight. There are much better kill movies out there.
