This is a systematic guide that lists the important aspects of a Magtheridon encounter. It has done a good job of covering strategy required to defeat Magtheridon and the Channelers. It is worth mentioning
that a diagram showing their positions is also included. Unfortunately, that is the only diagram and adding a couple of more images of the players' positions would have without a doubt explained the
encounter a lot better.
We liked the diagram included in this guide for understanding the positioning. Besides this, every phase is explained in detail with sections dedicated to the different classes. All classes will find solutions to their doubts and difficulties here.
If you can take the 450MB download of the full version, you will be rewarded with perfect picture quality. It's like you're sitting at this mage's monitor. Even if you can't, you will be rewarded with an excellent video that shows us the entire fight from a zoomed out perspective, with clearly visible chat, combat log, combat words, and huge amounts of on screen detail. We also get player talk, which is fantastic, giving clear instructions of what to do at each point in the fight. You really couldn't ask for anything more.
This is a highly stylised movie of fantastic picture quality shot from a warlock's point of view. The beginning shows the Channelers being DPSed and how the warlocks control them. After Magtheridon breaks
free, we get excellent insight into his abilities like clicking on the cubes to control his Blast Nova. Besides this, the placement of players and their movement is crystal clear. To make the movie even
better than it already is, the interface is very useful with raid health bars and combat text. Definitely, a movie worth watching to gather adequate information about this encounter.
You can expect excellent picture quality from this movie that has been shot through a warlock's perspective. This is a film that gives equal importance to providing footage of the Channelers as well as
Magtheridon himself. Watch out for Blast Nova and Conflagration. Also, the wide view of the fight makes sure that we are clear on the positioning of players.
Watch this fantastic quality video through the eyes of a hunter. The beginning of this movie provides good insight into DPSing the Channelers, and in between this we can also see glimpses of Magtheridon and
his Cleave. After this we can view the placement of players, and Magtheridon's abilities like Conflagration and Blast Nova clearly. Besides this the clip shows raid health bars that can be made out easily. A
good overall video that is worth watching.
Watch this high quality movie from a priest's point of view. It does a decent job of providing us with good footage of Magtheridon and the Channelers. Besides this, we get a nice understanding of how every
class is placed and what they are up to. Another point in its favour is that all of Magtheridon's abilities are clearly visible. We think it is an informative video for healing and other classes.
Watch this good quality video of a Magtheridon kill from a hunter's pespective. We get a decent understanding of the placement of various classes here, but it might leave some doubts in your mind. It clearly
shows the Channelers being dealt with, and it provides good shots of Magtheridon that help us know what to expect from him in the encounter. The movie is a good watch as it illustrates all three phases of
the fight with the help of visible combat text.
This is the first Magtheridon kill movie, and is interesting for that alone. It switches between the view of the tank and a paladin. Both players have visible combat logs and combat words, so you can read a fair amount of the fight and what is going on, but the picture quality is flawed and it is not always easy to make out. The viewpoints are quite limited, especially the tank's, so there's no real overview of the fight here. This clip shows only combat with Magtheridon himself.
If you want to inspect Magtheridon's toenails, this video is perfect. It is from the PoV of the main tank, and consists of 9 minutes of pure toenail action. Admittedly, there is 2 minutes of decent footage of the adds being tanked before then, but after that it's demonic cuticle all the way.
